who are you, Alex?
Let's get this out of the way - my family name is MacIntosh. Yes, like the computer. Except I am the one 'mac' that doesn't know how to code! Now that's done, let me tell you I ended up in Budapest helping IT professionals transform their presentations.
It all started with 'Lip Sync' contests in my small Canadian town at the age of 7. Then, to acting in theater in Junior High and High School through my teens. When I became a teacher in 2004, the classroom became my theater, and the students my audience.
A decade later, I went to my first Toastmasters public speaking club meeting and was impressed by the cool people who spoke effortlessly. I signed up immediately, expecting it to be a breeze. After all, I had been on stage dozens of times in my youth and had been 'performing' as a teacher for over 10 years.
Man, was I wrong. Quite the opposite. I was stricken with fear and blanked when I stepped on stage. Off stage, I was sick to my stomach thinking about it. I was constantly worried they wouldn't take me seriously. Scared to death of being judged. Writing and re-writing my speeches over until they were 'masterpieces' with multiple layers and meanings that were impossible to follow.
It took a good 5 years to realize that effective speakers don't worry about what people think. They are too busy giving. The most effective speakers aim to connect with the audience and create an experience they will remember. And when I became a presentation coach in 2019, this became my obsession.
Fast forward to 2025. I created a framework to giving more effective presentations using science - something I call being "Presentific." and I teach it to IT people so they can engage their audience every time.
No performing, no acting, no masks - just authenticity and energy.
Join me. You'll see.

What it's like to work with Alex
Whether it's a speech, a script or a presentation, I approach it the same way - to make the best use of the time we have to make the biggest impact on the audience. From creating the concept, to designing the structure, refinement of the message and finally practice - I am there to guide you so nothing falls throught the cracks.
In my courses, you can expect my two decades of experience in education to show through, both in creativity and real-world examples. The mood is informative but not too serious - just like a great presentation!
My clients tell me that working with me feels more like fun than work, and my enthusiasm for the stage tends to rub off on them. So, if we do end up working together you may actually start CRAVING the stage! One final word of warning - giving a great presentation can results in someone asking you to give another one!
Hope to see you soon!
Best,
